Roman English
Haatti ko dui woata daant hunchha, euta khaane, arko dekhaaune.
Literal English Translation
An elephant has two teeth (sets of teeth/tusks), one for eating, another for showing.
English Meaning
This proverb points out the duplicity or hypocrisy in people. It suggests that individuals often present one facade or say one thing publicly (like the elephant's visible tusks) while having different hidden intentions or actions (like the elephant's hidden teeth used for chewing). It highlights the discrepancy between appearance/words and reality/actions.
English Proverb
Actions speak louder than words. / Talk is cheap.
